Children of the Earth Vernissage

N A FESTIVE ATMOSPHERE, CLOSE TO 100 PEOPLE GATHERED AT THE HÔTEL-MUSÉE PREMIÈRES NATIONS ON MARCH 2, 2017, FOR THE FUNDRAISING VERNISSAGE OF THE NEW PATHWAYS FOUNDATION, UNDER THE HONORARY PRESIDENCY OF MR. JEAN VINCENT, PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE NATIVE COMMERCIAL CREDIT CORPORATION, MAIN SPONSOR OF THE EVENT.

The guests enjoyed a visit of the photo exhibition “Child of the Earth” from our sponsor Samian, a cocktail party inspired by Indigenous flavours, a place of exchange and networking of the Indigenous community, a silent auction, and a musical evening with Kathia Rock, Shauit and Gilles Sioui, all of which was animated by Dave Laveau, director of Aboriginal Tourisme Québec. The evening was a great success and will be remembered for a long time!

This exhibition is a Place des Arts production made possible thanks to the financial support of the Fondation de la Place des Arts.

Solidarity of nations

THE NEW PATHWAYS FOUNDATION HELD ITS FIRST BENEFIT SHOW ON MAY 4, 2016. UNDER THE THEME “SOLIDARITY OF NATIONS”, THIS SHOW WAS A REAL OPPORTUNITY FOR SHARING BETWEEN INDIGENOUS AND NON-INDIGENOUS PEOPLE.

The show brought together artists such as: Samian, Elisapie, David Hart, Alexandre Belliard (piano: Jean-Martin Aussant), David Goudreault, Biz, Alex Nevsky, Yann Perreau, Salomé Leclerc, Geneviève Rochette and Jason Bajada. Preceded by a VIP cocktail where guests were given the opportunity to purchase a work of art from Aboriginal or Quebec artists, who generously agreed to contribute through a silent auction, the event was a great success. More than 225 people attended, and more than $42,000 was raised.

Thank you!
